Supervisor/Strong Senior Accountant
Job Summary:
We are an accounting and business-consulting firm providing Client Centric Solutions in financial reporting and tax planning, as well as compliance and operational consulting services in Hazle Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. We are seeking a CPA or an accountant with 3 to 5 years experience to manage projects, provide accounting and income tax compliance services, and lend support to develop long-lasting relationships with our clients. The ideal candidate will possess experience with financial reporting, as well as income tax planning/compliance for individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, be fluid in the use of income tax software, tax research tools, Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and other accounting software. Job responsibilities include:
Work closely with the staff to ensure performance of tax planning, client interaction, and special projects
Collaborate with staff on income tax preparation and planning
Represent clients with IRS, State, or other government correspondence or audits
Review completed tax returns and provide recommendations to junior members of our team when needed, as well as lend a hand in preparing income tax filings
Research and resolve tax and accounting issues affecting clients
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication and exceptional service
Qualifications and Skills:
CPA certification a plus
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
3-5 years' experience in public accounting
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
In-depth tax knowledge at the local, state, and federal levels
Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to clients
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
